Newsom's Aged Hams is featured as part of the Lake Barkley Partnership community project with the spotlight on local businesses, business resources and landmarks. A unique enterprise, Newsom's was established in 1917 and has experienced over a century of America's history in the small town of Princeton in Western Kentucky. Founded by her grandfather H.C. Newsom and continued by her father William H. "Bill" Newsom, the ham production business and retail store is operated by the third generation family owner Nancy Newsom Mahaffey, known nationally as "The Ham Lady."
